Days have stretched to weeks and weeks into months as the search for missing Oshawa man Cameron Baillie continues without success.
Speculation as to Baillie’s whereabouts is rampant on social media, with a Cameron Baillie Search Group on Facebook having nearly 5,000 members. The group has organized countless searches around Oshawa and the lakefront, and recently volunteer divers took to the water at the Oshawa Harbour with no success.
Durham police inform The Oshawa Express that there are no updates on Baillie’s case and the investigation is ongoing.
After locating a pair of shoes near the Oshawa Harbour thought to belong to the missing 27-year-old in mid-January, Durham police have intensified their search efforts for the missing Oshawa man.
Bailie has been missing since Jan. 10, when he left his Oxford Street home in the middle of the day, appearing to leave his phone, bank card and winter jacket behind. He hasn’t been seen or heard from since, something his family have noted to police is concerning and out of character for him.
Bailie is described as a white male, six feet tall with a medium build, blue eyes, and short brown hair with a goatee.
Anyone who knows Bailie’s location is asked to call their local police service. Within Durham Region, call 1-888-579-1520 ext. 1736.
