The Durham District School Board has found itself a new superintendent of education.
Jim Markovski, who had previously worked as a staff development officer with the board, will officially take over the position as of May 1.
“On behalf of students and staff of the Durham District School Board, I am pleased to welcome Jim Markovski to his new role,” states Luigia Ayotte, the interim superintendent of education, in a news release.
“Jim possesses both the leadership skills and teaching excellence required to be a superintendent of education. His expertise and knowledge will be an asset to our senior leadership team and to the students and staff at the DDSB.”
