Construction on the expansion of the Kids’ Safety Village of Durham Region is well underway.

The Village, which is now closed, will reopen in September with a completely revised facility which will include classrooms for teaching, new office space for administrators, updated washrooms to include handicapped and a brand new fire teaching space. This space will have a component which will simulate fire in a kitchen, bedroom and bathroom.

Currently, all functions are cancelled, including the Easter event, until the Village is reopened in the fall.
