The Robert McLaughlin Gallery is launching a fresh take on its RMG Fridays and RMG Exposed with the RMG Fridays: Focused fundraising event.
RMG Fridays: Focused will be streamed live, and will feature pre-recorded segments, including musical performances by Rory Taillon and Sacha, an online silent auction, a tour of the new photography-based exhibition “Aberrations,” a fun photography activity and contest, and a screening of a Durham Region International Film Festival short film.
To help better create the experience of an in-person event, virtual attendees will also have the option of purchasing a “party-box” ahead of time, including items from local vendors such as All or Nothing Brewhouse, Isabella’s Chocolate Café, and Mathilda’s.
All proceeds from the silent auction will go towards funding free programming at the RMG, making art more accessible to children, youth, and adults.
With the wellbeing of the public in mind and in accordance with health and safety regulations due to COVID-19, RMG Fridays: Focused will also be moving online, making the event as accessible as possible to community members.
