Reader questions where the empathy has gone

Dear Editor,

Kudos and high fives to Mr. Bill Sheppard for his letter of simple noise complaints regarding living near the Oshawa aiprort.

Apparently the noise became worse and louder for whatever reason after he had moved to the area.

Subsequent letter witers like Mr. Trupp, instead of empathizing with what Mr. Sheppard commented about descended into a somewhat flippant reply of “move if you don’t like it.”

Wow, really?

Is this the spiritual empahty that Oshawa residents embrace as helpful solutions.

And it wasn’t just Mr. Trupp who negated Mr. Sheppard’s comments.

Well, Mr. Sheppard will finally be better off in a quieter, more positive environment.

As long as people like Mr. Trupp aren’t living there, he has got that figured out, no problems at all.
