Public intoxication charges in Northern Ontario

An Oshawa man has been charged after a public disturbance in Elliot Lake.

Officers from the East Algoma detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police were called to a disturbance in Elliot Lake, approximately 130 kilometres west of Sudbury. According to provincial police, they had received a complaint of an intoxicated male who was causing a disturbance and bothering tenants at a local business. Before police arrived on scene, the male suspect passed out outside the business.

A 44-year-old Oshawa male has been charged with being intoxicated in a public place in connection with this incident.
