Prepare for flooding

Winter is out and spring is in, but with the warmer weather comes the risk of flooding.

Durham’s Emergency Management Office is reminding residents to be prepared for the flooding that can be caused by melting snow and increased water levels. Residents are advised to contact their local conservation authority to find the latest information on flood forecasts and warnings.

In order to prepare for possible flooding or other emergencies, residents are encouraged to restock their at-home and vehicle emergency kits.
