Police seize more than $25k in drugs, vehicle
Two men have been arrested after Durham police seized more than $25,000 worth of drugs following a month-long investigation.
Project Aurania was launched last month after reports of an Oshawa man selling drugs from his house. According to a news release announcing the arrests, undercover officers were able to purchase marijuana, cocaine, Adderall pills and hydromorph pills from the suspect.
On Thursday, June 18, officers arrested the suspect, as well as a second male who police suspect was providing the drugs. Two search warrants carried out that day found more than $25,000 in drugs, as well as a vehicle.
A 43-year-old male of Keewatin Street has been charged with 11 counts of trafficking cocaine, 10 counts of possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000, two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of a Schedule III substance.
A 43-year-old of Belair Crescent has been charged with three counts of trafficking cocaine, one count of possession of cocaine and one count of possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000.
