Police seek suspect following attempted gas station robbery

The Durham Regional Police are looking for a man who attempted to rob the Ultramar gas station on Bloor Street on Sept. 17, but fled empty handed.

On Sunday at approximately 1 a.m., a lone male, with his face covered, approached the cash window of the Ultramar gas station at Simcoe Street and Bloor Street in Oshawa. The suspect indicated he had a gun and demanded cash, but fled empty handed. No weapon was seen and the clerk was not physically harmed.

The suspect is described as a male, white, 40 to 50 years old, 220 to 250 lbs., wearing a black baseball cap with a white logo, grey shirt, dark blue jacket with a red hood, blue jeans and running shoes.
