The manager of corporate planning and development for Durham police is facing impaired driving charges.
On Monday, Nov. 7, York police received a call about a suspected impaired driver in the area of Queensville Side Road and McCowan Road, northwest of Newmarket. According to police, a black Hyundai registered to an address in Uxbridge was seen swerving on the road and changing speeds.
At approximately 5:30 p.m., Durham police went to the registered address for the car, found it and then arrested the male driver.
Robert Wallington, 53, has been charged with impaired care and control as well as exceeding 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 mL of blood in connection with this incident.
