Police investigating after shots fired in Oshawa

Investigators are looking for witnesses after several shots were fired in Oshawa this past weekend.

On Jan. 27, at approximately 9:35 p.m., police responded to Eagle Ridge Drive in Oshawa for reports of an armed person. A witness reported hearing gun shots and a U-Haul cargo vehicle was seen leaving the area. Officers located evidence of a shooting at the scene and several bullets struck a residence. However, the occupants inside the home were not hurt. A bullet also struck a vehicle in the driveway, but no one was in the vehicle at the time.

A short time later the male is then seen running back to the vehicle and entering the passenger side. The U-Haul drives northbound on Eagle Ridge Drive and turns right on Greenhill Avenue.

The suspect is described as male, age 25-35 with a thin build, wearing a grey hooded shirt with the hood up. The vehicle is described as a U-Haul cargo truck with a roll-up door at the back.

Police are appealing for witnesses or any information that could assist with this investigation.
