One person has been arrested after an Oshawa man was stabbed inside his apartment on March 14.
At around 4 p.m., Durham Regional Police officers arrived as Lakeridge Health after getting word of a man admitted with stab wounds. The victim said he’d been stabbed earlier that day in his apartment in the area of Simcoe Street and Adelaide Avenue.
A short time later, the suspect was arrested on Simcoe Street.
The victim was taken to a Toronto trauma centre where police say he remains in stable condition. Police do not believe this was a random incident.
A 34-year-old man of Dundas Street in Whitby is charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for committing offence and possession of a Schedule I substance (cocaine). He was held for a bail hearing.
