Plenty of options to beat the heat

As the mercury rises on the thermometer, local residents can find some relief through various city facilities.

Splash pads across the city are now open, and pools will soon follow suit.

There are currently six splash pads open in Oshawa, including:

– Baker Park, 151 Baker Court

– Lakeview Park, 1500 Simcoe Street South

– Lake Vista Park, 450 Emerald Avenue

– Rotary Park, 254 Centre Street South

– MacKenzie Park, 1234 Athabasca Street

– Northview Park, 1196 Ritson Road North

Splash pads operate daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. until Labour Day, Monday, Sept. 3.

Lakeview Park Beach opened on June 18 and has lifeguards on duty daily from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., until Labour Day. Camp Samac and Rotary Park outdoor pools will open for the season on June 23.
