On Nov. 11, Oshawa’s annual Remebrance Day parade, complete with a large contingent of vehicles from the Ontario Regiment, will travel from the R.S. McLaughlin Armours to the Memorial Park cenotaph starting at 10:25 a.m.
From there, the parade will head west on Richmond Street to Centre Street and turn south on John Street before heading east to Simcoe Street.
The route means that Metcalfe Street will be closed from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. For the duration of the parade, sections of Centre, King, John and Simcoe Streets will be closed until the parade heads back to the armouries.
Parking is available at city hall as well as on the street. Metcalfe Street will be reserved parking only.
