An Oshawa woman was killed just before New Year’s in an accident near Young’s Point in Peterborough County.
Just after 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 30, members of the Peterborough County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police were called to a collision on Highway 28 north of Clear Lake Road in Selwyn Township. Police say a northbound pickup truck collided with a southbound minivan on the west side of the highway.
Karin Gaddas, 58, a passenger in the van, died as a result of her injuries at the scene.
The driver of the van, Bradley Fee, 60, of Oshawa, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The two passengers of the pickup truck, both from Mississauga, were treated with non-life threatening injuries at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre.
