Oshawa man killed in E-bike incident in Pickering
An Oshawa man is dead after the E-bike he was riding was hit by an SUV in Pickering.
On Friday, June 12, at approximately 9 p.m., Ronald McGivney, 29, was heading east on Kingston Road when he was hit by a Chevrolet Blazer heading westbound that was attempting to turn left to go south.
McGivney sustained serious head injuries and was taken to hospital, where he later died as a result of his injuries.
Police say the driver of the SUV, a 69-year-old Pickering man, was taken to a local hospital and later released.
Police say road conditions were favourable at the time of the incident.
