OSCC 55+ postponing in-person fall programs
Sessions will continue online through October
Oshawa Senior Community Centre (OSCC 55+) has postponed reopening for in-person fall programs due to a recent rise in COVID-19 cases.
OSCC 55+ Executive Director Sandy Black says the registration, which was scheduled to begin on Oct. 5, will be delayed due to the increase in positive cases.
“Our goal is always to provide safe, quality programs for seniors to be active, socialize and enjoy,” says Black in a recent statement. “We appreciate the support of our membership as we continue to make the best decisions we can based on the most up-to-date information provided to us by health professionals. Your well-being and safety comes first.”
She says the staff at OSCC 55+ have “pivoted” to plan more online programs for October.
