One weekend, three robberies

Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying suspects in three unrelated armed robberies over the weekend, including two in Oshawa.

The first occurred at The Wine Shop on King Street East in Oshawa at approximately 9 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 22. Employees were robbed of cash after being confronted by a male armed with a handgun.

The suspect is that investigation is described as a white male in his late 40s to early 50s, and approximately six feet and one inch tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded coat, dark pants and a black scarf across his face.

The next day, at approximately 2 p.m., a lone suspect entered the Toronto Dominion Bank on Dundas Street West in Whitby and indicated he was armed. He fled the bank with cash.

The suspect is described as a white male between 25 and 35 years old and approximately five feet and eight inches tall with a heavy build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with blue jeans.

The next day, at approximately 3:20 p.m., a lone suspect entered the Cubert Milk and Variety Store on Cubert Street in Oshawa. The man, holding a knife, demanded cash and lottery tickets before fleeing the store.

The suspect is described as a white male and approximately six feet tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a dark brown hooded coat, dark pants and blue shoes. His face was covered by a black bandana.

Police report that there were no physical injuries in these robberies.
