Molotov cocktail thrown at Durham business

Durham police are looking to identify a man who threw a Molotov cocktail at a Clarington convenience store.

On July 25, at around 4 p.m., police were called to the Clarington News Convenience on Highway 2 in Bowmanville. According to police, a man was seen throwing the Molotov cocktail, which landed in front of the store, creating a ball of flame. The man was then seen running southbound and last seen running west toward Green Street.

Thankfully, the Molotov cocktail did not cause any damage and nobody was injured.

The male suspect was wearing a light-coloured hooded sweatshirt.
