A man and woman sustained injuries during an altercation involving a knife
Durham police say on May 30, at approximately 3:30 p.m., two male neighbours in an apartment complex became involved in an argument about the volume of music coming from one apartment in the area of Mary Steet North and Colbourne Street East in Oshawa. The argument became physical and one male produced a knife. During the altercation, the other male grabbed the knife and slashed the victim. The suspect’s wife tried to intervene and she received minor injuries.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
A 36-year-old Oshawa man has been charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possession of dangerous weapons, and failing to comply with probation. He was held for a bail hearing.
