Man charged after house party stabbing

An Oshawa man is recovering from a non-life threatening stab wound after an altercation at a house Party.

On Dec. 23 at approximately 8:20 p.m., police were called to a residence on Mary Street North in Oshawa regarding a stabbing incident. Two males at a house party were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated into a physical altercation and one male was stabbed.

The 24-year-old victim was taken by ambulance to a Toronto trauma centre with a serious but non-life threatening injury.

Officers arrested a 20-year-old Oshawa male at the scene and the knife was recovered. He was charged with assault with a weapon; aggravated assault; fail to comply with recognizance; mischief/damage to property and two counts of uttering threats.
