Male armed with hammer robs Oshawa pharmacy

A man is in custody after attempting to rob an Oshawa pharmacy.

On April 1, 2020, at around 10:10 a.m., a male suspect armed with a hammer attended the Remedy’s RX Pharmacy store on King Street East and demanded narcotics.

The male fled the store empty handed and was arrested by police who were in the area at the time of the incident.

The victims didn’t sustain any physical injuries.

A female was also taken into custody at the scene but it was discovered she was not involved in the robbery.

The 45-year-old male suspect of Oshawa has been charged with robbery, disguise with intent, and possession of a weapon to commit an office. He was held for a bail hearing.
