President of Durham College (DC), Don Lovisa, has had his contract extended for a third term.
Lovisa, appointed in 2008, is the fifth president of DC. Under him, the college has seen significant growth in enrolment, applied research and capital development.
Lovisa is responsible for delivering the school’s Strategic Plan and Strategic Agreement, which aims to create an optimal learning experience for students, optimizing experience and expertise of DC staff, managing resources responsibly, making sure the college is environmentally and financially sustainable and contribute to the well-being of the community, according to a release from the college.
He will remain president of DC until March 31, 2021 when he is given the opportunity to renew his contract.
