One of Autofest’s longest serving sponsors has once again signed on to support the annual classic car event.

MAK Funeral Home has been involved as a dedicated sponsor since the event began 24 years ago, and as the event has grown and evolved over the years, so has the support from the Oshawa business.

“It just provides us with an opportunity to be in the festivities of Autofest and the fact that we have enjoyed the old car hobby,” says John Kellam, owner of MAK Funeral Home.

The family owned and operated business is one of Durham Region’s most historic, with roots dating back to 1853. MAK offers a wide range of funeral services with a professional and caring staff behind them.

Every year, Autofest draws hundreds of classic cars and thousands of car enthusiasts to Oshawa’s Lakeview Park for two days in August with proceeds raised going to help Grandview Children’s Hospital.

This year’s Autofest event runs Aug. 26 and 27.
