Lane restrictions on Victoria Street and Bloor at Thornton Road South

Construction in the coming months will causing ongoing lane restrictions in the area of Victoria Street and Bloor Street at Thornton Road South.

The Regional of Durham is advising the public that lane restrictions around the intersection of Thornton Road South in Oshawa and Whitby will be ongoing until early December as the road is widened to include an additional eastbound lane.

Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Some night work may also occur to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible; the Region realizes that the work may be disruptive.

Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and construction workers.
