Roadwork on Harmony Road is continuing, with lane restrictions now in effect on the northern stretches of the roadway.
Starting Sept. 30, lane restrictions began on the portion of Harmony north of Coldstream Drive to north of Conlin Road.
According to a news release from the Region of Durham, this work is being done for road rehabilitation, including curbs and gutters, asphalt milling, structure adjustments, paving and new pavement markings.
The work is scheduled to last until Monday, Oct. 24, although unfavourable weather conditions might alter that timeframe.
“The region realizes that the work may be disruptive, and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible,” a news release announcing the lane restrictions states.
“Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and construction workers.
