Lane restrictions for road work in Oshawa

Lane restrictions will be in place in two pockets of the city over the coming weeks.

The region of Durham is advising residents lane restrictions will be in effect on Simcoe Street and Winchester Road in Oshawa for road construction and intersection modifications.

The road work will take place on Simcoe Street from 500m south of Winchester Road to 250m north of Winchester Road, and Winchester Road from 320m west of Simcoe Street to 310m east of Simcoe Street.

The road work is scheduled to be completed by June 1, 2020, however, a region press release says unfavourable weather conditions may affect the schedule.

Road rehabilitation is also being done on Olive Road from Grandview Street to Townline Road in Oshawa. Lane restrictions will be in effect and road work will be ongoing until May 15, pending weather conditions.

Drivers are being asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
