Holiday changes to recycling, garbage pickup
With the long weekend approaching, Oshawa residents should be aware of when they should put out their blue bins.
Starting on Monday, Aug. 1, blue box collection by the region will be shifted forward one day, with the shift continuing throughout the week. The shift will end with the Friday, Aug. 5 collection being moved ahead to Saturday, Aug. 6.
The City of Oshawa, which is responsible for garbage pickup, says the same will apply on its end.
The shift is a result of the long weekend, with the Civic Holiday falling on Monday, Aug. 1.
