Have a coffee with Oshawa Fire Services
Oshawa Fire Services is partnering with local McDonald’s restaurants to reach out to the community through Coffee with Fire Crews, a new public education program that will be launching in the upcoming weeks.
Local firefighters will be at Oshawa McDonald’s locations to discuss fire safety with the community on the following dates;
– Friday, March 9, from 10 a.m. to noon at 501 Ritson Road South
– Friday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to noon at 1369 Harmony Road North
– Friday, May 18, from 10 a.m. to noon at 1349 Simcoe Street North
“I encourage the community to come have a coffee with Fire Services staff, and let us answer your fire safety questions and concerns,” says Oshawa Fire Chief Derrick Clark.
Each event will be attended by members of the suppression crew and fire prevention division, as well as the Fire Chief or a deputy fire chief.
