Gens split weekend matchups

After a big 5-3 victory over the Flint Firebirds on Nov. 25 at the Tribute Communities Centre, the Oshawa Generals fell to the Soo Greyhounds 8-3 in their second home game of the weekend on Nov. 27.

Goaltender Kyle Keyser earned the victory over Flint, which saw goals from Eric Henderson, Anthony Cirelli, Serron Noel, Jack Studnicka and Kenny Heuther.

The victory snapped a two-game losing streak for the Gens.

However, the Soo Greyhounds would prove a much tougher opponent as they jumped ahead 4-0 on Sunday before Oshawa managed to score.

Despite starting goaltender Jeremy Brodeur being yanked in the second period, Oshawa still did not manage to muster much offense.

Oshawa remains atop the OHL Eastern conference with a record of 16-7-0-2 for 34 points, ahead of the second place Hamilton Bulldogs with 29 points.
