Oshawa Generals right winger Serron Noel has been recognized as the Ontario Hockey League’s Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 26 after scoring four goals and four assists for eight points in three games with a plus-minus rating of plus-5.
Noel recorded three-straight multi-point performances for the first time in his career last week as the Generals wrapped up a tough November schedule with two-straight victories to maintain seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings. Noel’s week began on Nov. 24 scoring two goals including one by penalty shot and adding one assist despite a 6-5 loss to the Hamilton Bulldogs. On the winning side, Noel earned first star honours Nov. 25 with a goal and two assists in a 7-3 road victory over the Barrie Colts, then wrapped up the three-in-three on Nov. 26 with a goal and an assist as second star of a 6-0 shutout against the Mississauga Steelheads.
Noel has already surpassed his point total of his rookie season, with 22 points in 22 games. He has also nearly doubled his rookie goal total, scoring 14 goals this season, improving on his total of 8 last year.
