Funding to improve immigration
The region will be receiving one-time funding from the province to help research the best ways to help immigration throughout the province.
According to a report from the region’s health and social services committee, the region will be receiving $42,310 from the Ministry of Citizenship, Immigration and International Trade to go toward “conducting research on best practices with other immigration portal sites pertaining to language acquisition and integration and the subsequent development of a tool/manual to be used across the Province of Ontario.”
