Fire Services offering car seat safety clinic

It is estimated that over 75 per cent of child deaths and injuries due to motor vehicle collisions could be prevented with the proper installation and use of car seats.

Oshawa Fire Services is inviting parents and guardians who use car seats to attend its final car seat safety clinic of the year to ensure children are safely secured.

The clinic will run Saturday, Oct. 28 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Fire Station 6 (2339 Simcoe St. N., Oshawa).

The Oshawa Fire Services team has helped inform and install over 60 vehicles in the first three clinics of 2017.

Those interested in attending should have the car seat installed in the vehicle at time of arrival, bring the manuals for the car seat and the vehicle, and bring the child or children who rides in the seat present at the clinic so they can be properly sized.
