After three weeks, Oshawa’s fire department has removed the ban on fires within city limits.
“Oshawa Fire Services reminds residents that only those individuals with an approved fire permit respecting the open air burning bylaw are allowed to burn,” a news release reads.
“Those not complying with the open air burning by-law may be subjected to fees as identified by bylaw #73-2012.”
According to the bylaw, those who are in violation can face fines of up to $250 per day.
