DRPS: Report crimes online
Durham police are reminding residents that minor crimes can be reported online.
The reminder spurs from East Division’s Investigation Bureau Property Crimes Unit, which has become aware of a number of crimes being committed in the Kedron Park and Edenwood Park areas of Oshawa. Officers are investigating these crimes and wish to seek the public’s help in continuing to report all crimes in the area and across the region.
“Investigators are concerned that minor crimes are going unreported and as a result, investigative opportunities that could be exploited are not being realized,” a news release from DRPS reads.
“Members of the public area asked to check the license plates on their vehicles and confirm that they have two license plates on their car and they are the correct ones for that vehicle.”
Residents are reminded to lock their vehicles at night and to be cognizant that windows may be left open, especially during warmer weather.
Citizens wishing to report minor, non-emergency property crimes can go to drps.ca and click on ‘Online Services’ to report these crimes.
