Local entrepreneurs will have their opportunity to enter the den later this month.
The popular CBC show Dragons’ Den is holding auditions across the country throughout February and March, including a stop in Oshawa on Feb. 28.
According to a media release, the audition welcomes participants of all ages with business ideas at any stage of development.
Interested parties should prepare to pitch their concept to the show’s producers in five minutes or less.
If selected, they could be invited to Toronto to participate on the show.
Perspective pitchers are encouraged to apply online at cbc.ca/dragonsden/auditions and bring a completed application form to the audition.
The Oshawa event will be held at 2000 Simcoe Street North at Durham College in the Student Services Building, Room SSB 116 AB, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Dragons’ Den is currently in its 12th season on CBC.
Oshawa-based businesses have experienced success on the show in the past.
As previously reported by The Oshawa Express, father-and-son team of Michael and Brodie Stanfield presented their As Real as it Gets (ARAIG) gaming suit to the Dragons in February 2017.
Dragon Manjit Minhas offered the Stanfields $500,000 for 25 per cent of their company, IFTech.
