Downtown shooting suspect charged
A Toronto man is facing numerous charges after a gun was fired outside of an Oshawa nightclub over the weekend.
At approximately 2 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, police were called to a fight outside of the Music Hall nightclub. According to witnesses at the scene, one of the people involved in the fight had a firearm and that shots were fired.
Nobody was hit by the bullets, and the suspect was arrested without incident.
A 20-year-old male of Lawrence Road in Toronto has been charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, possession of a dangerous weapon, careless use of a firearm, careless use of ammunition, careless storage of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a restricted firearm, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition and discharging a firearm recklessly.
