As one of the region’s longest standing automotive businesses, it is a natural fit that Dom’s Auto Parts would again serve as a title sponsor for Autofest.

This is the fifth year Dom’s Auto Parts, and its related-business Parts 4 Less, have been involved with the yearly event.

“The Motor City Car Club are great people to work with and they do great things with local charities in our community so we love to be involved,” says owner Dominic Vetere.

Dom’s Auto Parts will host a unique fundraiser during Autofest – a car smash, a name that can be taken quite literally.

“For a few dollars, people can take a hammer to a car and help raise money for some of the charities involved,” Vetere says.

Dom’s Auto Parts is a third-generation owned business, having operated for more than five decades.

The business celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2014.

Marking its 24th year, Autofest is a two-day event that draws hundreds of cars and thousands of car enthusiasts to Lakeview Park in Oshawa with proceeds supporting Grandview Children’s Hospital.

This year’s Autofest runs Aug. 26 and 27. For more information and a full schedule, visit autofestoshawa.com
