Councillor: Disclose violent histories

City councillors are calling on the federal and provincial governments to push for better transparency when it comes to the violent pasts of some residents in long-term care homes.

Due to dementia, Alzheimers and other degenerative diseases, some seniors may become violent.

In a motion from Councillor Doug Sanders, councillors are asking their upper government counterparts to ensure these past incidents are shared with the workers and other residents living in the homes.
