Climate change is threat to be taken seriously

This federal election year really is crucial to determining what steps we will or won’t be taking to combat this climate emergency.

As a mother, I am obviously terrified for the future of my child, as well as all of the alarming rates at which our planet is warming, already causing more damage to our cities, wildlife, etc. Most people are finally coming to terms with the fact that we are in a serious climate change emergency. And yet, not enough is being done, or even proposed, to drastically reduce our carbon footprint.

Please encourage the CBC to host a debate discussing actions we must take immediately to combat the global warming epidemic, as well as how to implement a ‘Green New Deal. I, like so many Canadians, am extremely worried about the state our planet is in and would love to see our government make it their priority as well. This is a global emergency. The more countries that do their part, the better.
