An Oshawa male is facing charges in a March car accident that left four people in hospital.
On the night of Sunday, March 20, police investigated a three-car collision on Olive Avenue near Wilson Road South. According to police, a subsequent investigation has found a white Dodge Challenger was traveling more than 150 km/h when it ran a red light and hit a blue pickup truck.
The driver of the Challenger was taken by air ambulance to a Toronto-area hospital for his injuries. The truck’s three occupants were taken to hospital, with one 17-year-old female being taken to hospital before being released with minor injuries, while the other two – both 17-year-old males – were taken to a Toronto-area hospital with serious injuries.
All four have since been released from hospital.
A 46-year-old male of Guelph Street in Oshawa has been charged with three counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm and one count of owning and operating a motor vehicle on a highway with no insurance.
