Centre Street parking garage to be closed for the summer

The Centre Street parkade in downtown Oshawa is set to be closed for the remainder of the summer beginning July 25.

As planned maintenance is set to get underway, the parking garage, located on Centre Street between King and Bond streets, will be closed until September with plans to partially reopen the garage on Sept. 18.

The maintenance work includes repairs to waterproofing and concrete and replacement of drainage piping and ramp heating systems and expansion joints. In order to ensure safety and to minimize disruption, all repairs to the ramps will be completed during one timeframe resulting in the initial closure.

The City offers short-term parking spaces in the downtown for daily customers, including surface lot parking, on-street parking spaces and the parking garage on Mary Street.
