A Pickering male was seriously injured after driving his car off an embankment.
At approximately 1:40 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11, officer responded to the area of Townline Road South and Olive Avenue for a single-vehicle collision. A witness at the scene reported to police that a male had been found with a vehicle that had rolled on to its roof in a wooded area.
When police arrived on scene, they found a Honda Accord that had been headed south on Townline that had gone through a metal guardrail and over a steep embankment. The driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A 49-year-old Pickering male has been charged with dangerous driving in connection with this incident.
