Oshawa city council and the public will get their first glimpse at the proposed 2020 budget later this week.
The budget will be presented during a special council meeting on Friday, Nov. 8 at 9:30 a.m.
Deliberations will continue with meetings on Nov. 22, Nov. 29 and Dec. 6 (all Fridays) beginning at 9:30 a.m.
Council approval is tentatively scheduled for Friday, Dec. 13 with another special meeting scheduled at 9:30 a.m.
The proposed budget will be available online at oshawa.ca/city-hall/budget.asp on Friday, Nov. 8
The city hosted a number of open houses regarding the budget throughout September.
However, Ward 5 city councillor John Gray, also chair of the city’s finance committee, says it is not too late for public input and suggestions on the 2020 budget.
“Attendance at the meetings, written submissions, or calls to the Mayor and councillors are welcome and appreciated,” Gray said in a city news release.
