Armed robbery at Oshawa hotel

Police are investigating an armed robbery at a motel in Oshawa.

On Monday, June 19, at approximately 12:50 p.m., a lone suspect broke into a room at the Kingsway Motel on King Street East that was occupied by three adults and a young child. The suspect had both a knife and a handgun. He demanded money from the occupants, who yelled for help. The suspect fled on foot. A quantity of cash was taken during the incident. No one was physically injured.

The suspect is described as male, white, 40 to 50 years old with green eyes, brown/grey, medium length hair and a beard, and wearing white running shoes, a baseball hat, plaid shirt and jean shorts. He had a silver stud labret piercing and a dragon tattoo on his forearm.
