Armed robber violates parole

Provincial police have issued a Canada-wide warrant for the a federal offender wanted for breaching his parole.

The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) Squad has issued a warrant for Greg Bernard, 33. He is described as a black male, five feet and 10 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds and has scars on his forehead and neck. Police say Bernard has a tattoo on his left upper arm with the word “MOB.”

Bernard is serving a 10-year, three-month sentence for robbery, robbery with a firearm, possession of a Schedule I substance, conspire to commit an indictable offence, fraud over $5,000, possession of a restricted firearm and ammunition, possession of a firearm knowing it is unauthorized and aggravated assault.

Police say Bernard is known to frequent the Greater Toronto Area and the London area.

Anyone having contact with the offender or has information as to his whereabouts is asked to call the ROPE Squad at 1-866-870-ROPE (7673), or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
