Woman forcibly confined in Oshawa
A female is recovering after she was approached and held against her will.
On Wednesday, March 25, at approximately 2:30 p.m., a utility worker was approached by a male in the area of Erie Street and Simcoe Street South in Oshawa.
The female victim had her hands tied up and was in distress.
Officers responded quickly and located a residence where the female escaped from. The female disclosed that she went to a residence in the area and once inside, she was assaulted and tied up for several hours by an ex-boyfriend. The female also had some previous wounds from being shot by a pellet gun on two separate occasions.
She was taken to a local hospital for her injuries.
A 36-year-old male of Oshawa has been charged with assault, forcible confinement, two counts of assault with a weapon, two counts of weapons dangerous, and two counts of failing to comply with probation. The male was held for a bail hearing.
