Woman forcibly confined for several days
The discovery of a woman forcibly confined in an apartment for several days also resulted in police seizing a quantity of street drugs.
Police say between Aug. 2 and Aug. 5, the victim was forced to stay at one of the suspects’ apartments in a room against her will.
The apartment was on Simcoe Street North in Oshawa.
The victim was able to get a cell phone and she reached out to a friend for help. Police were able to locate the apartment’s address and gained entry.
The victim was taken to a local hospital to be examined. Three suspects were arrested inside.
Investigators executed a search warrant on the apartment and seized drugs, and cash worth approximately $32,500.
A 51-year-old man of The City of Kawarthas is charged with sexual assault, forcible confinement, and a number of drug-related charges.
A 33-year-old man and a 28-year-old man, both of Simcoe Street North in Oshawa, are charged with forcible confinement and multiple drug-related charges.
They were all held for a bail hearing.
