Woman charged with stabbing partner following argument

A woman is facing charges after police say she stabbed her common law spouse.

Early in the morning of Saturday, Sept. 19, a 22-year-old male was returning home when he began arguing with his partner, a 20-year-old female. Police say an altercation took place, resulting in the male being stabbed several times in the leg with a kitchen knife.

The man was taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries.

A 20-year-old Oshawa woman has been charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.
