What’s going on with insurance rates?

What has happened to my car insurance provider? The big news a couple of years ago was how the provincial government was legislating car insurance rates down. My 2014 renewal did go down, so how does my provider respond this year? They “reorganized the corporate structure” and call it by another name under the same corporate umbrella, and despite another year of flawless driving, my rates go up by $20 per month. All this, despite an information letter addressed to “Valued Client” and indicating “business as usual” and “no altering of your relationship with us.”

Wow! What a load of manure to navigate and an insult to we clients who pay their cheques. If this is the reward for loyalty to their brand, then the world is truly a greedy road to drive! I will ensure that I am not taken for a fool.

That is certain, as my complaints to customer service were met with an invitation to shop around for a better rate. Now that’s truly fighting to keep your client base!
